i struggle everday with drug addiction. I want to stop but I cant. I never dreamed that CHEMICALS could have such a hold on me, control me, and destroy my life the that they have.

What do you do when you try to convince your child to get help and they wont? They steal checks from family members but not from me. The family members wont do nothing about it. They just keep protecting them. This is not their nature so I know they're desperate, but they still say they will be able to do it on their own cause they already went to rehab and it didnt work.

Dark Soul its nearly impossible to fight this disease or deamon without God in your life. Drugs have always been a bad thing, but it seems like today they have such a control on people. I've been and addict , and a member of my family is really struggling with it to. A lot of people dont understand. I know you can break these chains with gods help. Ive known so many people thats been set free and have stayed off drugs. We are not giving up on you. We are going to keep on praying for you.

Momof1 I know your family wants to think "they have learned there lesson" I have had a person in my family do the same thing, and it just kept getting worse. The longer they do drugs the harder it is for them to quit. If they are under eighteen you can force them to go to rehab, but if they are not ready to quit, Im not sure it will help any. The best thing we can all do is pray for your child. i know someone is getting some prayers through because we have already witnessed results. I will be sure and send up prayers. God can do more in one second than we can in a lifetime. Keep us posted.

Dear Dark Soul, hey, I hope You have come over here for a few minutes. I know without a doubt that no one can truely escape the monsters of addiction with out God in their life. They have to have something to replace the void that they have and God is the only way, however I also believe that God has blessed certain people with an ability to help those who have been into abusing substances so long that their mind is fogged to where they may not be able to see reason and cannot focus enough to see what they need to do next. That is where a good rehab comes in to play. You could go to 25 rehabs but until God comes into the picture and a person decides to let Him be the master of his life instead of the drugs, then no rehab is going to work. However, there is certainly no shame in going to rehab when you need it. I certainly believe that God can heal anything he chooses, but sometimes He chooses to allow us to go thru steps to get there and that is what they teach at a good rehab....which is not something that can usually be done in 30 or even 60 days, IN MY OPINION. Granted, 30 or 60 may be better than nothing, and for some people, it works, but for you it obviously hasnt so you MUST do something, or I'm sorry to say, but I'm afraid you're going to die. I'm praying so hard for you and I feel so helpless. There's so much I could do for you, if you'd call me and let me. Its not about what I can do, but its about what God can do thru me. I hope you have found your way over here. You and your family are so beautiful. Your songs always touched my heart in such a special, special way. I could tell the last time that you were there that you were very troubled, but it's so hard to know when its the right thing to do..to just go to someone and begin to pray for them. I never want to offend someone. Its hard for a person to know how the other person may react. I honestly dont think anyone would ever want you to feel the way that you do. I think satan is doing a really big number on you, and wow, is he ever good for that!! Sweetheart, right now, he has your mind messed up into believing exactly what he wants you to believe......that you're not good enough. Well, that is not true. You are a beautiful person, inside and out. What if I could get you some help to get clean, would you be willing to go for it???

 Prayer Warrior... You bet...i would put everything last to get help first. What do you have in mind? i work at a good job, im going to college. but i got back on pills again....im so different and i hate the addict in me, im a completely different person....its a demonized addiction that i cant control...i need help again...this is pitiful...how will i ever quit??i would feel so good if i could stay away from this stuff...i still have the guitar tony gave me...i look at it everyday...i wanted to sing for the lord, but i felt like they didnt want me too...this is not their fault, im not blaming northside, im blaiming myself..i love northside soo much and i would love to go back there, and when i get the strength to, i will be there..tell chad my situation if you dont mind and please ask the church to pray for me....im more troubled than you know....

I am so, so glad you came over to talk to me here. Girl I love you so much. You have such a talent with that guitar and your songs. They bless so many hearts. You are so humble. Honey, you dont always have to tell everybody what problems you've had. You can talk to God about it, and He's the only one that really matters. You will have so many people on here that will be praying for you. I saw a couple of the guys in Swat tonight that I talked to afterwards. I just told them that there was someone that really needed encouragement that was one of our own. I told them that I had invited that "someone" to come over to this forum, so she would feel safe in discussing her problems with people that would love her and pray for her, and they are gonna get on here too. Alot of people dont know about this yet. Its new.
Honey I am praying really hard for you, as others on here will be too. Is there any way you could come to church Sun.? or that evening? Have you been to the Trillium Center before for detox? What about Next Step in Jackson Ky? How would things go if you took time off work for rehab?
Right now, I want you to bow with me and pray.(in your own words as I pray for you).....Dear Lord, I ask you right now to just lay your mighty hand on my sister. Right now, she is weak, Lord, but I know, that in Jesus' name, you can heal her and make her strong again. I pray that you will remove the cravings that she has for these substances Dear God and set her feet on solid ground. I pray precious Lord that you will give her peace and comfort like none she's ever felt, that she may know you are with her. Lord, help her to depend on you completely. Dear Lord, your word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that you will not let her be tempted beyond what she can bear, and that when she is tempted, you will provide a way out. Lord, in Jesus' name I pray that this will stay embedded in her heart, soul and mind. I thank you for this young lady that you have sent my way Lord and just please watch over her and protect her, her husband and her children. Amen

This is to my sister out there who's struggling so much right now with her life and the things thats going on in her marriage. I hope you check this. I know you've been on here. I love you so much. Please, let us know you're ok. So many people are praying for you. God loves you child. He's wanting to help you but you must depend on him. He would never want you to hurt yourself. Remember, your body is His temple. Please, just come to church. I will pray with you and so will others. I know its a far distance for you to come. If you cant come this far, then go to a church somewhere, but you must be surrounded by christian brothers and sisters. Please turn this over to God and let Him handle your life. This prayer is for you: Dear Lord, right now I ask you to please take my friend into your arms and hold her tight, let her feel your arms around her and know that you are comforting her, and give her peace like she's never felt. Lift her up Lord and set her feet on solid ground Lord. Open her eyes and let her see what she can be if she will trust in you and let you take control of her life. She's asked you already Lord to forgive her for the things she's done Lord and I pray now that she can forgive herself and accept your forgiveness and hold her chin up and move on in the life that you have blessed her with. I ask you, In Jesus' Name, to please right now, deliver her from the pain that she is suffering and bring her back to you, where she needs to be, and loosen the chains that satan has on her. Thank you Lord. Satan get away from this child, In the Name of Jesus, we are claiming victory over her!!!!!!!!!!!

[i]There are 3 young people that I ask each of you to say a special prayer for right now. One all of you know. Please say a very special prayer for Dark Soul, who has become a special person to all of us. I know she is struggling with some major decisions. Lets all pray that God will help her to make the decisions that she needs to make. We all love you Dark Soul........May God Lead you in the right direction.
There is another young lady who is in jail that is needing help with an addiction. She is a very special person. Please pray that this all works out and that she is willing to go for the help that she needs and that she will allow God to continue to work in her life.
Another young man who needs help with addiction and is seeking guidance. Please pray that he'll do what is best, and not just what is convenient. Pray that he'll get comfort and peace and assurance from the heavenly father.
